The temperature is rising over the decade and sea level along the coastal area of Bangladesh is also rising. Hence the climate change is a reality and extremely vulnerable to the climate change in Bangladesh. Climate change effects largely on water resource sector in terms of quantity and quality to support human life as well as habitat for ecosystem. In Bangladesh, water sector play a dominant role in the socio-economic development. Every year the country suffered from major extreme events (cyclones, floods, heavy rainfall, drought etc). Given the overriding importance of the coastal and water resources and impacts of natural disaster and health sector in the development of Bangladesh, such vulnerability remains a key threat to the country's potential for sustainable development. There is need action plan for adaptation to climate change. National adaptation programmes of action will serve as simplified and direct channels of communications for information relating to the urgent and immediate adaptation. The main objective of this paper is to develop the method for the formulation of National Adaptation Program of Action.
